Wasafiri
Wasafiri is a quarterly British literary magazine that focuses on international contemporary writing. It publishes a diverse range of voices from around the world, including notable writers such as Chinua Achebe, Kamau Brathwaite, and Abdulrazak Gurnah.
The magazine's name, Wasafiri, is a Swahili word meaning "travellers," reflecting its mission to explore writing as a form of cultural travelling through migration, transportation, or the metaphorical search for an imagined cultural home.
As well as creating a new look and theme for the website and print magazine we moved the website off of its old WordPress (sigh) platform to a more moden and usable system where we could more easily intregrate management of their subscriptions and issues.
The site also has a nice feature where we rotate user interface colours to match the colour scheme of each quarter's magazine cover. All whilst ensuring that our we meet our high accessiblity standards with regards to contrast and readability of course.
